- Chip counts: 4 of each gem in 2 players, 5 in 3 players, 7 in 4 players, plus 5 gold.
- A turn is exactly one of: take 3 different gems, take 2 of one gem if 4 or more remain, buy a card, or reserve a card and take 1 gold if any remain.
- Reserved cards are hidden in your hand (max 3). Gold pays any single missing gem.
- Nobles are not taken as a turn; they visit when your bonuses meet their cost, for 3 prestige each. The race ends at 15 prestige after the current round completes.
